Permanent Fossil Exhibition – Arta Terme

Back

The Permanent Fossil Exhibition was founded following the kind donation of the palaeontological collection by Enrico Campibelli, a devoted collector and expert palaeontologist, to the Municipality of Arta Terme.

It includes an interesting nucleus of local finds, among which there are excellent ammonoids and gastropods belonging to the Cucco-Tersadia group, dating back to the Middle Triassic period.
The most consistent part of the collection is given by finds coming from abroad, that represent the most significant moments of the evolution of life on our planet.

The history of groups that are now extinct, such as those of trilobites and ammonites, is well defined thanks to significant finds both from a scientific and an aesthetic point of view.
