The Karnische Alpen Geopark Visitor Centre – Dellach am Gail

Back

The Dellach Visitor Centre represents the reference point of the Carnic Alps Geopark on the Austrian side of the border. There, the visitor can re-live the history of the Earth over a period of 500 million years, through a selection of fossils and rocks, interactive animations and films. The Visitor Centre offers information and suggestions for excursions and information materials as well as thematic maps for tourists, hikers and geology enthusiasts. Guided tours and excursions as well as educational programmes for school groups are also part of the Visitor Centre’s offer. It also regularly holds conferences on geological topics.
The Centre is also a point of reference for finding scientific literature, geological maps and hiking guides including those with a geological theme.
